“what about researching Urban Honking as a case study for an organic independent web community?
“there’s such a rich diversity of content. but also lots to critique, right? i mean, it’s basically a bunch of middle/upper middle class well educated liberal white people in their 20s and 30s writing about their lives in the public realm. oversimplification, i know, but it’s sort of a microcosm in a way. i think it would be a rad case study.
“empirical + theoretical.
“too incestuous or no? is it okay to do research about a project that your friends are involved in? to be fair, i actually don’t know most of the people blogging on urban honking.”
