As a general topic this is fine but it is still rather broad and needs
some focus. You need to think about how you will research it. What type of political blogs on which sites? Can you narrow it down to specific types of sites (take 3 or 4 different ones for example) and then a sample of blogs from each? How are you going to assess whether they have challenged the hegemony of mainstream media? Could you follow an event/issue for the duration of news worthiness and see how blogging discourse filters into mainstream discourse? Are you simply going to interview journalists?
You will need to indicate the sort of literature you will be drawing on
for the proposal as well.”
