Leaving Screens · Tuesday July 4, 2006

About a month ago, I wrote that I’d be “posting something every day to Digital Hearth, no matter how common or vapid.”

Well, it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last post, and it’s a great feeling. Why? Because trying to swim every day is much nicer than “blogging” every day, and not being on the computer feels good, especially in a Northwest summer as beautiful as this. I have a new approach to computer use which mandates that I only use my laptop when I actually need it for design work, tour/album/band planning activities, and email. It’s cut down on my screen time by 2-3 hours per day, and I’m spending lots more time outside.

Speaking of which, I think it’s about time to go here.
